Balance Exercises – 5 Moves & 1 Workout to Improve Your Balance

People often take balance exercises and flexibility for granted. They don’t realize  that over time the body’s ability to maintain these mobility skills will deteriorate and yet these skills are pertinent parts of optimum fitness. As we grow older our bodies will rely on these skills more and more. Among other things, increased flexibility and balance can be the difference between you stopping yourself from falling or reducing joint and/or ligament injury if you do fall.

Exercise for balance

Below is 5 Moves that you can do to gradually increase your balance skills. It’s important that you start now and stay conscious of this important component of fitness no matter what age you are.

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO

  1. Complete exercise 1-4 below for  8-12 reps on each leg
  2. Do 10-20 minutes of cardio (running, swimming, jogging, walking)
  3. Complete each exercise below  for 1 minute (30 seconds on each leg)

TRY TO DO THIS 2-3 times per week.
