Apple CocoNutmeg Smoothie: A Healthy Breakfast Treat

This breakfast smoothie has all the tastes of autumn that you love. It’s one my favorites to whip up in the morning since I don’t really like cereal or heavy breakfast meals. I usually mix the Apple Orchards Granola from my NatureBox snack collection to give it that extra umph  but if I don’t have any of that I use regular Quaker Oats and it’s still delicious.

Post Workout Smoothie:

This smoothie is full of healthy carbohydrates that are low on the glycemic index (meaning they don’t spike your blood sugar and your body easily breaks them down as energy) so it is perfect for a post workout drink.

The yogurt, oats, and apples are high in fiber which helps lowers your cholesterol  and if you add your SunWarrior Protein (my favorite vegan-plant based protein) to this and drink it within 30 minutes of your workout your body will begin to repair itself and grow lean body mass.

Try and let me know what you think.

(P.s. I did not use the bananas that you see in the picture. I thought it was perfect without them. If you add the bananas let me know what you think about it and send me pictures).

  1. Star Fish

I added about a 1/2cup of spinach to this recipe, like I do with all my smoothies
