Respect The Life Journey That You Are On
We recently recorded a podcast on respecting your life journey. Head over to the sister site Graylove.com to hear the process on how you should trust the process of your own journey.
The act of traveling from one place to another. Except most of us start the ride on the road to our destination and somehow along the way we forget about the journey. The excitement and enthusiasm that once fueled us to take action dissipates as soon as we realize the end might not be as close as the vision painted by our imagination. We begin to further distance ourselves from our goals with each squinted look toward the future and as the lack of vision disintegrates so does our drive to move forward. How ironic is it that what we do is often times a direct result of what we see but success in doing, most often, is a result of acting in spite of what we see?

The Journey. A vision of its end is pertinent to begin on the road to it but a continuous respect of the travel is necessary to continue on it. The travel can lead you in many directions; sometimes further from your destination but acceptance of the various directions that our journey leads us is crucial to continuous movement. When you realize your trip might not be a straight path and keep faith that the path (no matter how curvy it might be) is leading you to your end, any backward steps, left or right turns will became an acceptable part of your process.
It’s only when you lose sight of where you are going that you risk falling off course. Remember, travel is required for any destination you seek. Respect the process, travel through the storms, step over distractions; no matter the struggle just keep moving and watch as you build strength to continue on even the longest of roads. And when you arrive you’ll pause, look back and appreciate the beauty in how far you’ve come.
